The Youtube activist was arrested, fined and deported from Thailand after she published a video that revealed the government had lied in it's efforts to clean up the country. Sources:

Thailand has issued an excuse for why they deported her. They claimed that she was "working on a tourist visa through her youtube". Its totally absurd since her Channel is way too tiny & amateurish to be considered any kind of job. Still we can take some lessons from all this.

1st, it's actually illegal to be a Youtuber while in Thailand on a tourist visa. They'll only ignore this law if you produce very pro Thailand content while there.

2nd, NEVER publish anything that's in anyway defamatory towards the Thai government while still in Thailand. Whether it's a Tweet, a youtube video, a Facebook or forum post, JUST DON'T DO IT! Even if you see the cops selling child prostitutes to tourists, don't say a word, or it will be YOUR ass on the line.

3rd, don't try to be an activist while in Thailand. They don't want our help. They are happy to accept the plastic pollution as it is. Your efforts to try and change the situation will only get you in trouble. Don't believe me?

1: Yes, so follow the law if you are producing videos that will catch the govts eyes.
